Did you know that the gorgeous spotted Whale Sharks are the largest fish in the world? They prefer the warm waters so they can be found in most tropical seas.
Their diet consists of plankton and they are generally docile. The only times humans have been hurt by whale sharks is when divers get close to them while playing and they are hit by accident by one of the whale shark’s fins or tail.
Even so it is recommended to not get close to them as it can disturb them. However, the younger whale shark tend to approach divers as they try to play.
Truly, whale shark can be described as the gentle giants of the sea, creatures so massive yet so calm.
