Miniature Calendar is a project Tanaka Tatsuya started in 2011 and has been ongoing ever since. To this day she updates the calendar daily with new witty scenes each time.
What is special about this calendar, lazy penguins? It’s made of scenes portraying real life events or characters through the use of small figures combined with everyday life objects such as a mobile phone or a fork, or in one case, even a baby! Most of the times, these scenes work as symbolism. For example, in one case a donut is used as a cave which scientists explore.
You can find all her art, as well as her new submission every day on her website Miniature Calendar. Here are some of our favourites!
