Few countries in the world offer such an impressive array of world class landscapes as Norway does. As well as glaciers, fjords, mountain peaks, incredible waterfalls and a rugged coastline, Norway also offers northern lights, polar bears (in Svalbard), reindeers and the cutest little stave churches (inspiration for Disney’s movie Frozen). Some of the rock formations are picture perfect, offering adrenaline pumping vantage points with sheer drops of hundreds of meters. The Pulpit Rock stands 604 meters above the Lysefjord outside Stavanger and people come from all over the world to hike to the rock to take a picture standing on the edge. The Norwegian fjords were voted by National Geographic as the world’s number one attraction and both the Geirangerfjord and Nærøyfjorden are listed as UNESCO world heritage sites. Both of these fjords offer some of the most spectacular scenery and can be enjoyed with a leisurely ferry cruise or a more exhilarating RIB boat excursion such as the Fjord Safari in Flåm. Enough with the description dear lazy penguins, let’s enjoy some of the most beutiful images of Norway!
