For those not familiar with the name, Satoru Iwata was the president and CEO of Nintendo and passed on July 11 due to cancer. More specifically, the following announcement was made by Nintendo:
“Nintendo Co., Ltd. deeply regrets to announce that President Satoru Iwata passed away on July 11, 2015 due to a bile duct growth.”
The former president was loved by all and in the last few days millions of people have been mourning his loss. With Nintendo being a huge part of people’s childhoods with their amazing games and years of entertainment during Mr. Iwata’s career, it’s only understandable that everyone was very upset with the news. Therefore, within the last few days people across the internet have been paying tribute with their art to commemorate the life of this incredible president and great man.
