In the province of Viterbo, about 150 kilometers from Rome but only 20 kilometers from Orvieto is located Civita di Bagnoreggio ,the one of with the most illustrious citizens, now called the dying city.
Civita is presently inhabited by a few families (we can say 8) because it is slowly crumbling, dying, because of the crumbling of the tufa rock on which it stands, caused not only by the wind and rain and also by two streams flowing in the valley.
Even though we can only see ruins now, the city has a spending beauty which cannot be lost easily.
