Do you like your city and its memorable parts? Would you want to have a print of it framed on your wall to remind you of it? Today’s topic might interest you then. We’re talking about the iconic urban prints drawn by the young couple from Portland, Lyn and Stephen Sasser. So what is it exactly that they do and what’s special about these prints?
They make archival pigment prints on 100% cotton, acid free printmaking paper. Their most recent work centers on iconic landmarks from urban environments, superimposed on retro city maps. Based in Portland, they started locally and then expanded their visual horizons to include images from Seattle, San Francisco-Oakland, Los Angeles, New York City and most recently London, England. The prints are unique and the project is also called You Are Here.
