Today we’re featuring the Photo Invasion project of artist Lucas Levitan who has been hunting for Instagram photos to add his own, unique, artistic, illustrative touch on. During this project, every couple of days, the artist searches for popular photos on Instagram to paint over . There, he adds cartoon-like characters that help us view the photo in a new perspective.
The Brazilian artist likes to turn everyday objects or situations into interesting photos with a touch of surrealism and twist or reality. Thus, he managed to allow us to view these images without regard to the context. His goal is create illustrations that are perceived in a different, more playful way, from the audience, than what was intended by the original photographer.
