Amur Leopards are some of the most incredibly beautiful animals in the world. Unfortunately they are critically endangered and only less than 70 of them remain in the wild.
It is very sad that such a majestic creature would find itself in such danger thanks to poachers and forest degradation. Their native land is Southeast Russia. However, it is worth noting that this species a few years ago was even closer to extinction with less than 20 remaining in the wild.
As you can tell their numbers have increased a bit but they still require protection because they are priced among hunters.
