You have seen the photo of this cabin around Facebook for sure – it goes live frequently. The cabin was built on a rock (in the middle of the river) close to to Bajna Basta (wee Serbian town).
At first you could only find a couple of boards around (enough for sunbathing) but after a while they decided to build a small house. Just like in the fairytales, the irregular rising and falling of the water of the river ruined the house but they got it rebuilt.
A year ago nobody recognised the small house (apart form the locals) – the photographer who made it famous was Irene Becker who published the photo in the National Geographic Magazine. Thousands of tourists got interested in visiting this unique place. “H/T”: weezbo
