Koolau, Hawaii, USA
Koolau is on the island of Oahu and it has been voted one of the best golf experiences in North America. Being set in the middle of a rainforest means that this course often has challenging conditions. The views are fantastic at every hole and although you may have to deal with excess water on the course at times this is a fantastic course for all players.
Tralee, Ireland
Tralee is located in Kerry County in picturesque Ireland and people have been playing golf in the area since 1896. There are fourteen golf courses located that are less than 25km away. Tralee Golf Course at Barrow was designed by Arnold Palmer, it is nestled against the Atlantic Ocean for fantastic views with every shot, and it just celebrated its 25 year anniversary.
Aamby Valley, Maharashtra, India
The Western Ghats Golf Club in Aamby Valley, Pune is about a two and a half hour drive from the Mumbai airport. It was voted one of the best international golf courses in the world. It has a British PGA approved 18 hole course and the training academy is a great place to work on your driving and pick up some pointers for your game while taking in the beautiful surroundings of the course. If you want to make the most of being in India, getting out and seeing the sights with a tour company is a great idea.
Furry Creek, British Columbia, Canada
The Furry Creek Golf Course is about 20 minutes south of Whistler or less than an hour north of Vancouver on the beautiful Sea to Sky Highway. You can play to your heart’s content with panoramic views of the ocean, stunning views of coastal mountains, and fabulous conditions. Afterwards you can head back to Vancouver for fabulous nightlife or continue onto Whistler for great restaurants and the opportunity to wake up in a village surrounded by mountains.
Dornoch, Scotland
This stunning community is located on the east coast of the north Highlands that run from Moray Firth to Sutherland. Tain Golf Club, Royal Dornoch Golf Club, and the world famous Carnegie Golf Course (dubbed Carnasty by some) are all world class golf courses within a short distance of this area. These are great courses to improve your game with spectacular views and lots of sunny days.
Pebble Beach California, USA
If spending the day next to the Pacific Ocean while playing a fabulous course is what you are looking for than this is definitely the place for you. You can watch the waves crash against rocks on some of the holes and the surrounding area is known for its breathtaking scenery and its mild weather. When you aren’t playing golf, there is a whole multitude of other things to do.
George, South Africa
South Africa also has stunning views and great golf courses. George is known as Africa’s golf capital and it is located half way between Cape Town and Port Elizabeth on the Garden Route which winds along the South Eastern coast of this beautiful country.
