Are Jerboas The Most Peculiar Animals On Earth?

Jerboas are a species of rodents that live in the deserts of Africa and are possible one of the most unique and unusual animals in the world. Why? Because their body resembles that of a mouse but their hind legs are thin and long making it possible for them to hop around like kangaroos.

If that was not enough to make them peculiar, they also have very long tails compared to the total size of their body and very big ears. Their tails also have a tuft of hair at the end. Although they are tiny they can be very fast hopping around with their hind legs.
