It is one of the most important American hubs so finding a relatively affordable flight should not be very costly. Maybe a combo with New York may solve two highlights that have always been on your travel agenda. Miami
It is a city dreamed by the majority of travelers. The metropolis of Florida offers magnificent beaches. You can visit the downtown, cold as almost all the centers of the North American cities, or smoke a pure Cuban style in Little Havana, to see the animals of Jungle Island or to live the atmosphere of South Beach. Some of Miami hotels are a tourist attraction in themselves. In Ocean Drive you can take a tour of the Art Deco hotels of the city. You will hardly find another place in the world with such a number of buildings of that style and so well preserved after almost 100 years. You should not miss some activities in the surroundings of the city as well!
Everglades
It is one of the wildest areas of the USA, as well as a World Heritage Site and Biosphere Reserve. The best way to tour the mangroves of the Everglades is with a hovercraft that you can book at any agency that offers one of these tours. From the crocodile farms you can go out in full pastille with one of these ships of great fans that cross their waters at full speed looking for alligators by their corners.
Key West
This is not the south, it is the southernmost part of the US! After crossing several keys joined by huge bridges you will arrive at this tourist island. Do not miss the Southernmost Point, which is where the Caribbean begins and the closest point to Cuba. 150 kilometers will separate the waters of the great Caribbean island.
Cruise Ships
Miami is the most important cruise port in the world, the Caribbean is up to you. A 4-day Bahamas getaway on any of these great ships will not cost you a major payout, at least considering it’s the best chance you’ll have to do it.
